 This Car....

Sure! Here's a short **original car story**—you can let me know if you'd like a different tone (funny, scary, dramatic, etc.) or a specific kind of car or setting.

### **"Midnight Drive"**

It was 2:17 a.m. when Sam’s phone buzzed—just once. A message from an unknown number flashed on the screen:

**“Check your garage. Keys are in the ignition. Don’t ask.”**

Half-asleep and still dressed in yesterday’s clothes, Sam shuffled downstairs, more curious than cautious. The garage door creaked open to reveal a car that definitely didn’t belong to him.

It was a **1969 Dodge Charger**, black as a moonless night, polished to a mirror finish. The engine purred softly, already running.

Sam hesitated.

Then he got in.

The moment his hands touched the wheel, the dashboard lit up—not just with gauges, but with strange symbols and pulsing blue lights. A voice came through the radio.

**“Drive west. Do not stop. Do not look back.”**

The garage door opened on its own.

So he drove.

The Charger roared like a beast let off a leash, effortlessly eating the miles. Every stoplight turned green. Every road was clear. But the rearview mirror told a different story—flashes of headlights that weren’t quite headlights, shapes that looked like they were trying to follow, but somehow\... couldn’t.

By the time the sun rose, the fuel gauge hadn’t budged.

Sam finally pulled over on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The voice returned.

**“You made it. That’s all that matters. Leave the keys. Walk away.”**

He stepped out. The car’s engine shut off. No sound but waves and wind.

When he turned to look again, the Charger was gone.

So was the road.
